Frost Advisory #773 – But Is There Anything REMARKABLE About Your Station?

Wow!

That’s how many people react to this photo. Particularly women.

So, you may ask, what does this have to do with a moving company?

Nothing if that moving company sees itself as only a bunch of sweaty guys who lug people’s stuff from here to there… nothing more than having a functional relationship with its customers. This company sees itself as a source of RESCUE.

In our format, a functional relationship is formed when we allow our stations to be merely a bunch of Christian music for Christian music fans. My experience is that many stations have no aspirations beyond that.

In other words, no aspirations for anything remarkable. No “Wow” that differentiates them and makes them preferable to the other stations playing the same music.

“When businesses have a ‘bigger than us’ mentality and see community impact as a measurement of business success, you are well on your way toward a purpose that rallies and inspires…

It’s no longer enough to be the best company IN the world. It’s about being the best company FOR the world.”

Jeff Henderson, “Know What You’re For”

How do you design WOW into your radio station? It’s the journey to REMARKABLE.
