It’s easy.
It’s easy to let grass grow and have weeds in your yard. It’s easy to go to the driving range and be a bad golfer. It’s easy to not exercise and get flabby.
It’s easy to have a bad radio station.

Play anything you want. Talk as much as you like. Yap about anything without considering the listener’s expectations and interests.
I reckon’ few stations intentionally set out to be bad, but when you do only what’s easy that’s where you end up.
I know of radio stations that hire inexperienced program directors and air talent and offer them little training. It’s easier that way.
I know of radio stations that play any song they want to without considering their listeners’ tastes.
In my opinion there is no format that sounds worse when done poorly than CCM. Conversely,
I think there is no other format as remarkable when done with excellence.
The problem is… it’s hard work.
Consider this. Evaluate all aspects of your programming tasks that appear to be easy. That could be a sign that you’re doing them wrong.
